How Our Summer Art Portfolio Intensive Helps Aspiring Art School Students

When it comes to preparing for college admissions in the arts, not all summer programs are created equal. Many pre-college art programs offer coursework, but few provide the focused, flexible, and truly personalized support that students actually need to build a strong, submission-ready portfolio.

We have worked with so many students who come to us after completing multiple pre-college programs, who were still unsure about what to include in their portfolios or how to present their work. They made art but didn’t get the kind of guidance that connects their creative work to their school goals.

That is why we built our Summer Art Portfolio Intensive to offer the kind of support that actually moves students forward. This year, our Summer Art Portfolio Intensive runs from June 23 to August 30, 2025, with flexible scheduling and both in-person and online options.

Why It Matters

Applying to art school is different. Every program looks for something slightly different, and without the right kind of support, students often end up redoing their portfolios senior year, rushing through essays, or missing out on the schools that would’ve been a great fit.

We want to change that.
Our goal is to help students make the most of their summer and to walk away with more than just artwork. We want them to leave with confidence in their portfolios, clarity in their college goals, and a sense that they’re finally moving in the right direction.

What We Do That Other Pre-College Programs Don’t:

We help students make smart, intentional choices based on what schools are really looking for.
Our guidance supports them in building standout portfolios that are both personally meaningful and strategically aligned with their goals and target programs.

Through small class sizes and one-on-one instruction, we meet students where they are and offer the right balance of challenge and support to help them grow.

We offer flexible options that fit real lives.
Online or in-person, students choose their own schedule and course length so they can stay committed without giving up everything else in their summer.

Students leave with clarity and confidence.
By the end of the program, they don’t just have a stronger portfolio—they have a clearer sense of what colleges expect, how their work stands up, and what comes next.
