   TEEN ART COURSE

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Our Teen Art Course is for teenagers who are interested in art and would like to develop the fundamentals of art/design. Our teen art classes cover a variety of topics and subjects based on the student’s interest and/or specific. Each student will be working on their unique projects suited for their previous art experience and level with one-to-one instruction. From beginner to intermediate to experienced, any and all levels are welcome to join.

In a creative and cozy studio environment with a small class size, our teen art classes inspire students to discover their artistic and creative potential with exposure to various visual art techniques and the usage of mediums.

A student may either choose a specific medium to focus or a variety of mediums to explore during the course. Available subjects of focus are traditional drawing, painting, basic sculpture with clay/wood, mixed media, and more. Our classes are run all-year-round and accept students on a rolling basis.

Drawing

This focus will train students in basic drawing skills and techniques by exploring a range of genres and concepts in drawing. Throughout the long course of art history, drawing has become the basis and embodiment of various genres, including still-life, portraiture, landscape, abstraction, and more. Students will have the chance to explore various mediums to execute their vision with graphite, charcoal, color pencils, etc.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Painting

The class familiarizes students with painting mediums, such as watercolor and acrylic. From uncovering the mystery of colors (color theory), to creating a composition in color, the class will introduce students to the fundamental process of painting, color mixing, handling of basic painting mediums, and creative thinking to express their vision.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Mixed Media

During the class, students will learn and explore a variety of mediums, working methods, and styles to create a work of art that combine different materials, art and/or found. By using different forms of mediums, students will have a chance to think about how to think outside of a box to experiment in execution and conceptualization of art making.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Fashion Illustration

The class focuses on how to illustrate garments on figures in fashion design. Digital Art/Cartooning

The class will focus on the basics of digital art using accessible digital art tools and software, such as Procreate, FlipaClip, and Clip Studio Paint. The class will introduce students to basic line drawing, strategies and methods in digital drawing, cartooning, and character drawing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Private Lessons

NYART provides Private Lessons for students as well. During the whole duration of a lesson, the student will work with our instructor, one-on-one and in a focused and attentive environment.
